
Scoubidou Knots - Knotting your SkoobiesScoubidou Knots (Basic)To make the basic Scoubidou knot, take two Scoubidou. Make a loose knot in the middle of the first Skoobie and take the other thread through the knot. Draw, after all ends are approximately even long, the knot well to. ![]() Take the upper Scoubie (yellow) and put it across the lower right thread (blue). ![]() Take the lower right thread (blue) and put it across the lower left thread (yellow). ![]() Now take the lower left thread (yellow) and put it across the upper left thread (blue). ![]() Pull the upper left thread (blue) through the noose of the upper right thread (yellow). ![]() Draw the knot well to so that a square form will be visible. Return to step 2. ![]() If you are at the end of the threads, simply snip them off. For the first time, practice the knot on the table such as the images above, after a while you can do it simply in your hand. If you want make square Scoubidou, such as the heart, you have to follow all aforesaid steps. You start knotting clockwise, such as the 4 steps of the aforesaid images. Then you start knotting anti-clockwise (the same 4 steps). Then the following 4 steps clockwise, then anti-clockwise etc., etc.. Make, with a bit of scoubidou, a temporary knot around the six skoobies. Keep the skoobies in the desired pattern.Put the two blue skoobies across the yellow skoobies. Take the lower right skoobie and put it across the lower blue noose and underneath the upper blue skoobie. Next put the upper right skoobie across the upper blue skoobie and pull it through the blue noose. Do the same at the left-hand side. Now comes most difficult part! Pull the knot in such a way that a rectangular knot arises with a wicker-work where both colors vary each other. If you don't succeed immediately try the right-hand side first and then the left. Make a temporary knot around the four skoobies using a small piece of a Scoubidou skoobie. Take the left skoobie and put it across the other skoobies.Put the right blue skoobie under the yellow and blue wires in the middle and pull it up through the yellow loop.
